  4.      This is a collection of utility programs for LOADSTAR 128 that will be
  5. published on every issue.  By zipping through these menus you can:
  6.  
  7.  (1) Print out a subscription form
  8.  
  9.  (2) Print out a back issue order form
  10.  
  11.  (3) Print out a submission form for sending us a program for consideration
  12.  
  13.  (4) Critique this issue or just write us a note
  14.  
  15.       Just select which of these functions you want to perform by moving the
  16. highlight bar with the CRSR UP and CRSR DOWN key.  Press RETURN to select. 
  17. Since the menu items are numbered, you can just press the number if you
  18. want.  All of the modules return to the main menu of LOADSTAR BRIEFS when
  19. they are done.

  23.     The subscription form gives you all the information you need to become a
  24. regular subscriber to LOADSTAR 128.  You may use your favorite plastic in
  25. lieu of a check.  Please tell us if you are a new subscriber or are renewing
  26. a current subscription.
  27.  
  28.     If you are subscribing from a country outside the United States, the
  29. payment must be in US funds.  Checks or money orders must be drawn on a US
  30. bank.
  31.  
  32.     The submission form is for sending us your latest program gem.  It is
  33. important that you fill out every blank and sign down at the bottom,
  34. certifying that the program is your own original work.  Your phone number(s)
  35. and the start-up filename are very important.  While you're at it, send as
  36. much documentation about the program as you can.  However, don't print out
  37. BASIC or ML listings.

  39.     The back issue form will let you easily purchase any LOADSTAR 128 back
  40. issue.  After printing, just circle the issue(s) you want, enclose a check,
  41. money order, or credit card, and pop it in the mail.

  44.  
  45.     Readers of LOADSTAR for the C-64 are familiar with Jeff Jones' FEEDBACK
  46. MACHINE.  It's a dedicated mini-word processor that makes it easy for
  47. readers to comment on every feature on an issue -- or comment on anything
  48. for that matter.  Now, thanks to Paul McAleer, LOADSTAR 128 has a similar
  49. program.
  50.  
  51.     It uses an ML routine written by Scott Resh for LOADSTAR 128 #6 called
  52. QUICKTEXT.O so it's pretty quick for entering comments and printing.  It
  53. reads a file called "features" -- found on every LOADSTAR 128 -- and prompts
  54. you for each program on the issue.  You have up to six lines of comments you
  55. can enter for each program.  Just remember to press RETURN at the end of
  56. each line.  If you press RETURN on a blank line, you'll go to the next
  57. program prompt.  You can press ESC during typing to quit to BRIEFS.

  59.     The program will ask for your name and address first.  Please enter this
  60. so we can respond to any questions you may ask.  If you don't ask any
  61. questions we probably won't answer, but we're always interested in your
  62. opinions.

  64.     At the end of the critique there will be some additional questions about
  65. the documentation, Q-Link, and your equipment.  If you are commenting on a
  66. problem with a program it will help us attempt a diagnosis if you list your
  67. equipment.
